Escandaloza Bread

Ingredients

300 Soft flour or ordinary flour

700 Bread flour

10 gram yeast

15 gram salt

40 gram buttermilk

180 gram wash sugar

500 ml(-+) water depends on water absorption

60 grams lard

Filling

10 grams white onion

50 grams oil

5 salt

350 grams sugar

100 g water

350 g soft fl

8 gram baking powder

Direction

-In a bowl combine and sift bread flour, soft bread and salt.

-In another bowl combine instant yeast,lukewarm water and sugar,stir and

let it stand for 10-15 minutes.

-Stir in flour mixture,lard and water.

-Using your clean hands mix all ingredients until it forms into a dough, transfer the dough into

a floured surface and knead dough for 10-15 minutes or until it becomes elastic.

-Transfer dough into a bigger  bowl grease with vegetable oil, top the  bowl with a

damp cheese cloth.

-Let the dough rise and rest for 2 hours,punch the dough and shape into into long log divide or scale 35 grams each put the filling and

shape it round and arrange into a loaf pan

-Brush the top with egg wash and let it rise for 45 minutes.

                 Egg Wash Mixture

                    1   egg

                     2 tbsp water

                     pinch of salt

                      Combine egg and water until ready to use.

-Preheat oven 350F bake until golden brown
