Twisted Donut

Ingredients

1 kg Bread flour

10 grams instant yeast

15 grams baking powder

15 grams salt

150 grams light brown sugar/ granulated sugar

2 eggs

150 ml evaporated milk/any milk

50 grams lard/butter/margarine

300 ml water

Enough oil for frying

For Coating

1 cup powdered sugar

1 cup milk powder

or granulated sugar alone

Directions

-Sift and combine flour yeast and baking powder , set aside

-Combine in a container sugar, eggs, milk and water stir to dissolved

-Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and knead until dough forms add lard or butter until combined. Relax and cover the dough for 30 mins.

-Add salt to the dough and knead it until elastic and shiny. Rest again for 1 hr. ( I delay the salt so that the dough will rise more)

-I cut the dough into 35 grams each and form into long log and twisted it as shown in the video.

-Rest the dough for 20 mins before frying

-Fry each twisted donut with enough oil until golden brown.

-Roll each dough into powdered sugar and milk powder combined or granulated sugar alone
